Wine tourism in winter

The wind chill factor doesn’t bother us: it’s a balmy breeze, the sun is mild, ok, not in the afternoon, but winter is the time to treat yourself to some me-time. And then the 1960s song comes to mind, Summer Wine, about strawberries, cherries and an angel’s kissing spring, my summer wine’s made of all these things.. . A cold winter is the northern hemisphere in the glorious Indian winter, weather made for outdoor trips.

The nostalgia and the weather come together at this time of the year as India’s nascent wine industry holds its annual wine fests and wine stomping activities at harvest time, sometime early next month. While wine fests are usually day-long events, there is also an opportunity to make it a weekend event. And yes, wine companies have not overlooked that opportunity.
