VIP heritage walk reveals Mumbai’s hidden treasures

They usually bond over high tea. But on a misty Sunday morning, consul generals from 13 countries joined senior government officials on a tour of the city’s heritage gems. 

To send the message that Mumbai is more than merely the country’s financial capital, the state government organised a unique heritage walk for these VVIPs, many of whom were accompanied by their families and consular staff. 

They embarked on the two-hour tour of the historic Gothic edifices inside the Mumbai University campus and the Bombay High Court building with experts who acquainted them with the colourful history of these iconic landmarks.
