Tamil Nadu Tourism Development Corporation’s (TTDC) boating service to entertain the tourists at Courtallam’s Vennamdaikulam on the Main Falls – Five Falls stretch began on Saturday.
The TTDC has increased hiring charges by Rs. 25 this year . During informal chat with the officials, they said that the delayed season had forced them to commence boating service 35 days behind the original schedule. “To compensate the loss the TTDC has suffered, we have been compelled to increase the hiring charges,” an official said.
Even as the season began on a delayed note and the ‘real season’ at Courtallam is yet to take off , the Vennamadaikulam is not brimming with water.
