TripAdvisor expands instant hotel booking service to India

MUMBAI

Leading global travel site TripAdvisor has expanded its instant hotel booking service to nine countries, including India.

The other eight countries are Australia, Canada, Ireland, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore and South Africa report agencies.

“Travellers in these markets can now book a hotel on all of TripAdvisor’s platforms, desktop and mobile, without leaving the site,” it said in a release issued here on February 4.

TripAdvisor instant booking is now fully rolled out across 11 countries, following the launch of instant booking in the US and UK, with a global rollout expected in the first half of 2016.

“We’re excited to help even more travellers around the world to conveniently plan and book their trip on our site as we rollout instant booking to more global markets.

“The momentum we’re building is remarkable and we look forward to continuing our expansion throughout 2016, with the help of our trusted partners,” TripAdvisor President and CEO Stephen Kaufer said.
