Travel & tourism fair opens


HYDERABAD 
A three-day Travel and Tourism Fair, the 105th TTF, got under way at the Hitex Exhibition Centre at Madhapur here on Friday, July 12.

The show will be open to the general  public from Saturday evening.

Not just the state tourism boards and private operators but also six countries, which have a dominating presence in the world tourism market, have put up their stalls here to explore new markets. These countries are Malaysia, Thailand, Oman, Macau, Egypt and Sri Lanka. In all, the fair has attracted 200 participants including various state tourism boards, major tourist operators, resorts and hotel groups. Sri Lanka has set up a huge pavilion with several tour operators of that country.

‘’It is a great opportunity to showcase and promote ourselves to the the travel and tourism operators who will increase our base. It will be like getting to know one another and lay the foundation for a long- term business relations that will be strengthened as time progresses,’’ says Raghu of Kurumba Village Resort in Nilgiri in Tamil Nadu.
