Tourism plaza on the cards in Bhubaneswar

BHUBANESWAR

A multi-storey swanky tourist plaza will come up here, if the state government’s ambitious plan to boost the tourist potential of the state materializes.

The plaza will be a hub of disseminating information on tourism in Odisha and other states. Representatives of tourism departments of all the states and the districts of Odisha will be provided space in the plaza to help tourists know about tourist destinations, reports Times of India.

Tourism minister Ashok Panda said three sites were under consideration and one of the sites would be selected to set up the plaza.

“We have seen the sites near AG square, Unit-VIII and Bhanja Kala Mandap. The general administration (GA) department will take a final call on the matter and allot one site to the tourism department. I hope the process will be completed within a month,” said Panda.
