Tourism in Jaipur peaks on year-end celebrations

The year-end celebrations have brought cheer to the tourism stakeholders as various destinations across the state are brimming with tourists. And Jaipur is no different.
Just to make the new-year’s eve memorable, the event managers are burning the midnight oil.

What has added to the footfall of the tourists is the state government’s initiative to start night tourism, reports The Times of India.

“Night tourism began at a slow but steady pace. But over the last two days, the influx of tourists has broken all records. Since Chiristmas, we have been getting a footfall of 14,000 tourists per day. This rush is anticipated till January 10. On Saturday, nearly 14,703 came to the Amber Fort. Likewise, on Sunday, nearly 13,703 tourists visited till 6 pm. The per-day income of the Amber Fort is nearly Rs 17 lakh,” said Pankaj Dharendra, superintendent, Amber Fort.
