Thomas Cook unveils new packages

Travel operator major Thomas Cook is looking to leverage the falling rupee with the launch of various international and domestic packages that give the best value for the buck in the current environment. Maximizing on a weakening Australian dollar and stability in the New Zeeland, the company has launched attractive packages for Down Under.

Thomas Cook has also launched super saving packages in Africa which includes Kenya free on a South Africa. Against the backdrop of a stable South African rand, the SA package includes complimentary upgrades to a five star hotel and free travel for the child. These launches are part of the company’s Wintervals 2013 offer, targeting travelers who take vacations during December. “Against the backdrop of a volatile rupee, we have leveraged the drop in certain key currencies, off season pricing and our bulk buying clout to offer customers an amazing range,” Madhavan Menon, managing director, Thomas Cook (India) said.

For the budget conscious customer, the company has packages for Thailand, Sri Lanka and Indonesia. “Depreciation in the Thai Baht, Sri Lankan rupee and Indonesian rupiah have resulted in savings in on ground expenses, sight seeing, dining, entertainment and shopping,” Menon said.
