This tourist season’s first chartered flight from Russia arrived at the International Airport here on Sunday, providing a huge relief to the tourism sector.
The flight from Yekaterinburg, a province in Russia, carrying 185 tourists landed here in the morning.
The tourists were given a warm welcome in a traditional manner. They later proceeded to the various hotels in an around Kovalam.
The tourists will spend 13 nights/14 days in the state. They have been given options to choose from various destinations such as backwaters, Alappuzha, Kumarakom, Kanyakumari, Madurai and Maldives during their stay.
