For a country that has the world’s second highest gondola (ski lift) and the mightiest peaks of the world, skiing has been woefully under-explored. Out of all the ski destinations in India, including Auli in Uttarakhand and Manali and Kufri in Himachal Pradesh, Gulmarg sits pretty atop the snow mine. Apart from its rarity of being a Himalayan ski resort, its allure lies in its vast, panoramic ranges that are superbly fluffed with great snow itching to be skied and snowboarded upon.
