Redbus sells 3 crore online bus tickets

Marking the rise of the online bus travel market in India, e-booking site, redBus.in  recorded three crore tickets bus till date. The last crore tickets came in 1/8th time in comparison to the first one crore. It took 70 months to reach the first one crore tickets. Another 16 months to reach two crore and nine months to reach the three crore milestone.

Redbus says that mobile applications (apps) has been a key catalyst for its growth. The firm saw its mobile booking transactions triple over the last one year, making redBus not only the biggest online bus ticketing platform in the country but also the biggest travel category mobile commerce application. With recent integration of Yourbus analytics system, redBus has been able to deploy the bus tracking app in more than 300 of buses, enabling mobile users to track the buses in real time.
