Raje tightens tourism department’s belt

Considering the importance of tourism in Rajasthan, in a review meeting of the tourism department, chief minister Vasundhara Raje emphasized on optimum utilization of tourism resources and laid emphasis on making the fairs and festivals of the state more attractive to lure more domestic and foreign tourists.

The CM also stressed on developing the Sambhar Salt Lake into a grand tourist destination and providing better security to every tourist. “We had started work on safe access from Jodhpur to Ramdeora in my last term that was discontinued by the previous government. Work on an alternate route should begin soon,” said Raje.

While reviewing the 60 day and 5-year-long action plan, Raje directed the officials to achieve the targeted work within the given time frame. Officials were directed to monitor the schemes and inspect the facilities provided to tourists.
