Punjab govt launches tourism website

When Punjab government launched its tourism website recently, it left out every historical monument in Ludhiana. Already facing criticism over neglecting tourism sites in and around Ludhiana, government drew flak from residents, who said the government is bent upon taking heritage sites off the tourist map permanently.

Residents felt at least the government should have remembered ancestral homes of Lala LajpatRai and Sukhdev Singh Thapar to pay tributes to the brave sons of Punjab.

“For the past 20 years, I have been hearing about proposals, but nothing has changed in the outlook. Only the condition of structures, which needed attention, has gone from bad to worse,” said Manjot Singh, a resident of Sarabha Nagar.
