PESB selects candidates for Pawan Hans, AAI top posts

DELHI

The Public Enterprises Selection Board has selected candidates for top posts at Airports Authority of India (AAI) and Pawan Hans, kick-starting the process of filling up vacancies at public-sector undertakings under the civil aviation ministry.

A senior official told ET that Jharkhand cadre IAS officer RK Srivastava has been recommended for the corner office at the AAI, while BP Sharma, an executive director at AAI and the current director of Kolkata airport, has been selected to head Pawan Hans, reports Economic Times.

The corner offices at these PSUs had fallen vacant much before the new regime took oath. While Pawan Hans has been without a full-time chairman and MD for about two years, AAI is being run by an acting chairman since January. Air India, under the civil aviation ministry, too, is in the process of getting a new CMD, as Rohit Nandan’s extended tenure ends in the middle of November.
