The South Central Railway (SCR) does not appear to have any concrete plan to connect directly with the Shamshabad Airport. At best, like some other best-in-class airports around the world, including New Delhi, the Metro Rail may provide a link as close to the tarmac as possible.
Providing such connectivity needs the availability of land and a hard look at viabilities and other related things, reports The Hindu.
These are things that are not on our radar now, said General Manager-SCR Ravindra Gupta, in his first exclusive interaction with The Hindu here on Thursday after taking charge of the Zone on October 21. Safety, security and efficiency are our watch words.
These are not target-driven ones over which we can say, “There, we finished that,” and sit back. “Our business is 24/7 and everyday goals are dynamic. Peoples’ expectations are on the rise and they are ready to pay more. They are looking for better services by the day and it is our endeavour to fulfil their aspirations,” he said. Our helplines 138 for general complaints and 182 for specific complaints regarding safety and security are picking up with more and more feeling free to use them.
