New Year bash becomes more posh, more private

The public revelry on roads on the New Year’s Eve may be becoming noisier by the year. But the tribe of revellers who prefer to have a blast in private too seems to be increasing. An emerging trend is about families taking the night off from domestic chores and checking into a posh hotel for a quiet drink, dance and dinner on the New Year’s Eve.

Major city hotels this season had on offer special and discounted packages for customers planning to stay over at the hotel on December 31 night. Besides families, some hotels even customised packages for stags and bachelors to ensure that they did not have to worry about safety and restrictions on their way back but stay the night out, guzzle beer and party till the new year was born.
