MTDC holds Deccan Odyssey train tour for ‘Make in India’ investors

MUMBAI

Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC) organised curated tours for Deccan Odyssey for participants at the Make in India summit being held in Mumbai. Those interested could see the train stationed on CST’s platform 10.

On offer was a view of the luxury train’s on-board facilities like the conference room, restaurants & bars, spa, gym, special presidential suite, the deluxe rooms and more. This will be accompanied by hi-tea to provide a realistic feeling of the luxury which awaits prospective passengers wishing to undertake the journey.

As part of the regular route, Deccan Odyssey takes travellers through popular destinations in Maharashtra like Mumbai, Sindhudurg, Kolhapur, Aurangabad, Ajanta and Nasik.

Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation MD Paraag Jaiin Nainuttia said, “Deccan Odyssey is one of the gems in Maharashtra’s rich and diverse tourism portfolio. With Make in India week being hosted in Mumbai, the opportunity is perfect to showcase this offering.”

He added that Make in India investors are also potential consumers of this tourism product. Nainuttia said that the demand for Deccan Odyssey journeys has constantly risen over the years. “We are optimistic that this will only grow by leaps and bounds in the years to come especially, with MTDC’s strong focus on promoting it within Indian and International travel markets,” he said.
