Mall footfalls give fillip to domestic tourism

KOCHI

When Wayanad native Musthafa along with his eight family members decided to visit the city, the first destination on their itinerary was the shopping malls here.

They got off at the Railway station and rushed to one of the malls as the children in the group started to complain about the soaring mercury. They spent four hours at the mall and later left for Marine Drive.

As the malls take root in the consumer consciousness, they are giving a strong fillip to domestic tourism market according to industry sources.
