Mahabalipuram adopted by ONGC

Mahabalipuram will be adopted by Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) under the Clean India campaign, said the Tourism Ministry. 

The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) has agreed to ONGC’s proposal to adopt five monuments under the campaign. 

The monuments include the Taj, Ellora & Elephanta Caves in Maharashtra, the Red Fort in Delhi, Golkonda Fort near Hyderabad, and Mahabalipuram in Tamil Nadu. The campaign is part of the central government’s strategy to improve services and environment in and around tourist destinations across India.
