Kudumbasree, IRCTC tie up for e-catering

Kudumbasree women self-help group and the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) would jointly commence e-catering services in trains operating in the State.

Under this, commuters taking e-tickets can order food of their choice from ‘Cafe Kudumbasree’ up to two hours before departure of trains. The service will initially be available at Ernakulam Junction railway station. Lunch will be available in the first few days after which breakfast, ethnic snacks and dinner can also be booked.

Panchayat and Social justice Minister M K Muneer will inaugurate the initiative at the railway station on Saturday.
