Korea Caravan on September 22


Investment opportunities in developing the new capital at Amaravati in the Vijayawada-Guntur region, smart city in Visakhapatnam, and several other areas for promotion of bilateral trade will figure at the Korea Caravan being organised by the Embassy of the Republic of Korea here on September 22.

Captains of leading corporates of Korea, including Samsung and Hyundai, numbering 50, are expected to take part in the daylong session at Hotel Novotel Varun Beach.

Korean Ambassador in India Joongyu Lee will participate in the caravan, the first being held in South India.

The State government will highlight doing business with ease and explore Korean investment in tourism, hospitality, industries, science and technology. Shipbuilding with mutual cooperation may also figure in the discussions as Hindustan Shipyard Limited has already inked MoU with Hyundai Heavy Industries.

“The State government will give a presentation of building Navya Andhra Pradesh with Sunrise State as its USP,” an official of Industries Department told The Hindu .
