Operations at the Cochin International Airport Ltd at Nedumbassery have been resumed fully by 3.20 pm on Tuesday. The airport was closed yesterday, August 5 following water-logging on the runway.
V.J. Kurien, Managing Director, CIAL, told reporters here that the first flight AI 509 from Chennai landed at around 3.20 pm. The safety team had inspected the airport and cleared it for operations.
This was followed by the landing of a flight from Colombo. As many as six flights landed and three departed to various destinations in the next few hours.
The international airlines scheduled to operate this morning rescheduled their flights after 3.30 pm.
