The state tourism department organized two road shows in German cities of Dusseldorf and Berlin last week.
“The shows were conducted as part of the strategy to market the tourist destinations in Kerala. We have been receiving positive responses from Germany,” said tourism minister A P Anil Kumar.
A total of 75 attendees from 40 leading German tour companies were present at the first show held at Dusseldorf on February 3. Surender Kumar, consular (commerce) of India Consulate at Frankfurt, was the chief guest, reports Times of India.
State tourism director P I Sheikh Pareeth, who led two road shows, said Germany is the third biggest market for Kerala in terms of tourist arrivals. As many as 77,698 tourist arrivals were recorded from the country last year.
The second road show, held on February 5 at Berlin, had 110 attendees from 50 leading tour companies.
