Kerala Tourism mulls water sports at Bolgatty Palace

KOCHI

The Kerala Tourism Development Corporation (KTDC) is planning to introduce water sports at Bolgatty Palace in association with Kochi International Marina.

While jet skis and Sea-Doo watercrafts will be available for visitors, the tourism department will introduce kayaking, sofa or banana rides, reports The Times of India.

“We have not yet finalized the list of things to be included in water sports. But we will use state-of-the-art equipment when we launch the project in a few months. It will be tentatively at the end of August. A proposal was put forward in this regard last week. This is our first water sports initiative in Ernakulam,” a KTDC official said.

Other than guests in Bolgatty Palace, the public can also avail of the facilities. The rates for various activities have not been finalized yet. Tourism minister A P Anil Kumar is expected to inaugurate the project on August 27.
