Jet, Bangkok Airways enter into code share agreement

MUMBAI

Jet Airways and Bangkok Airways have entered into a code-share agreement said the Indian airline company. With the addition of Bangkok Airways, Jet now has 21 code-share partners across the globe.

Flights under the code-share will open for sale on April 30, 2015 for travel effective May 4, 2015. The code-share will reinforce the international global network of both airlines and provide more choice for customers between India and Thailand, as per a release.

Jet Airways will place its marketing code on Bangkok Airways’ flights between Mumbai (BOM) and Bangkok (BKK). Likewise, Bangkok Airways will place its marketing code on Jet Airways’ operations between Bangkok (BKK) and Mumbai (BOM).

Raj Sivakumar, Chief Commercial Officer, Jet Airways said, “Thailand has seen exponential growth in trade and tourism, attracting travellers from across the world, including India. These code-share flights will offer wider and convenient travel options to our esteemed guests travelling between India and Bangkok for business and leisure. This new partnership reinforces our commitment towards developing a robust network across regions.”

Peter Wiesner, Senior Vice President – Network Management, Bangkok Airways, said, “The code-share services will allow customers to have better frequency to connect to Bangkok. We believe this partnership will offer a unique advantage for Jet Airways’ passengers who will enjoy our unparalleled services, which include free lounge access, in-flight meal, and many more.”
