Jet Airways spurts on bargain hunting

Jet Airways (India) surged 10.02% to Rs 326.70 at 9:48 IST on BSE on bargain hunting after the stock tumbled 11.73% in the preceding five trading sessions to Rs 296.95 on 22 August 2013, from a recent high of Rs 336.40 on 14 August 2013.

Meanwhile, the BSE Sensex was down 27.57 points, or 0.15%, to 18,285.37.

On BSE, 3.90 lakh shares were traded in the counter compared with average volume of 13.86 lakh shares in the past one quarter.

The stock hit a high of Rs 335 and a low of Rs 298.20 so far during the day. The stock hit a 52-week low of Rs 290.50 on 22 August 2013. The stock hit a 52-week high of Rs 688.60 on 25 April 2013.

The stock had underperformed the market over the past one month till 22 August 2013, sliding 20.19% compared with the Sensex’s 9.16% decline. The scrip had also underperformed the market in past one quarter, falling 48.78% as against Sensex’s 8.72% fall.
