International kite festival held at Bharuch

Kite-flyers from various parts of the country and the world took part in the 26th international kite festival that was held here on Friday. Over 47 kite-flyers from different parts of country and seven from Ukraine, Russia and France came to Bharuch and flew kites of all sizes and shapes in the presence of thousands of people who had gathered at the Hostel Ground near Panchbatti.

An international kite festival was held in Bharuch for the first time. Such festivals are held at five different district locations in the state.

Gujarat Tourism Corporation chairman Kamlesh Patel said, “Such festivals are being held in Gujarat for the past many years to attract tourists from across the world.
