Hotel chain Lords Inn plans 7 more hotels by FY 2015

AHMEDABAD

Budget and mid market hotel group chain Lords Inn Hotels & Developers plans to add seven more hotels to its portfolio by the end of fiscal 2015. Presently, the hotel owns and manages 24 mid-market hotels across 4-star to 2-star hotels. Of these hotels, the group currently owns 11 and manages 13.“

The group plans to open hotels in places like Purulia, Shimoga, Palghat, Jammu, Lucknow, Agra and Jodhpur over the next few months, said Rishi Puri, Vice President, Lords Inn Hotels & Developers. Puri added that the group’s strategy was to focus on smaller cities where there were less quality hotel facilities.

“Religious and port sectors have been our strongholds for a long time. We have stayed away from metros so far so far except for one hotel in Bangalore. We are currently looking at leisure tourism destinations like Goa as well,” he said.

The group formed just about six years ago with three hotels in 2008. Since then the group has built its hotel portfolio with a the majority of hotels being built in Gujarat. “We have a good footprint in Gujarat and have a hotel every 100 km. We made a conscious effort to establish our presence in the religious circuit first,” he said.
