Gujarat set to experience paragliding high

AHMEDABAD

Gujarat has been one state which is one course of overall development. However, one sector which is lacking behind relatively is the tourism sector. Hence, any activity in the state offering adventure will be welcomed by the Gujaratis.

Thanks to the tourism department, the much-awaited paragliding festival will kick off on December 20. the 26-day festival for adventure sports enthusiasts will be held at Saputara, reports Times of India.

A Gujarat tourism official said that the government had organised our first paragliding festival in 2011 that attracted 1,500 adventure lovers. But in 2012, the event was cancelled due to the state assembly election. Last year, the participants’ numbers rose to 3,000. We are expecting about 5,000 entries this year.”

More than 16 paragliding pilots train tourists who enjoy flying at a height of 9,00010,000 meters. Amusements like motor roller and zorbic ball are available for kids.
