First Indian MICE network formed

With the growing business in the Meetings, Incentives, Conferences/ Conventions, Exhibitions (MICE) segment, the number of companies in the segment too has grown. Now, they have come together to  form the Network of Indian MICE Agents (NIMA). Gajesh Girdhar, Paryatan, has been  appointed as the first Patron, Founder and National Coordinator of the association. 

NIMA’s objective will be promote the MICE segment in the country. The association believes that it is essential to form a proper and productive liaison among airlines, hotels, transport companies, cultural organisations, boutiques and travel agents to target the MICE segment’s potential clients. 

NIMA will promote both domestic and overseas destinations through educational and training sessions, roadshows, workshops, advertisements, joint promotions, trade shows and Familiarisation (FAM) trips on a pan-India basis. It will also highlight the importance of players and agencies from Tier-II and III cities, which are developing rapidly, attracting MICE business from local networks and chapters.
