Dense fog in Delhi delays flights

A fresh Western Disturbance is affecting weather in North India, in terms of clouding in Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab and Haryana.

Delhi might also witness an overcast sky as the day progresses.

After two days of respite, dense fog in Delhi makes a comeback. Rail and road traffic was crippled with flyers being the worst affected as 19 flights were delayed till 7.30 a.m.

General visibility was nil at the Palam airport from 11 p.m on Friday night to 3 a.m in the morning. Even the runway visual range (RVR) reduced to 50 meters for almost 2 hours. Minimum temperature recorded at 7 in the morning was 10 °C, when the visibility improved to 100 meters and RVR was 500 meters.
