Char Dham Yatra bookings begin

HYDERABAD

The Himalayan State of Uttarakhand, recovering from one of the most devastating natural calamities last year, is gearing up to revive its tourism sector. With the annual Char Dham yatra beginning May first week, tour operators in the city and State are hoping to revive some of the lost glory. Andhra Pradesh has been at the top in the number of Char Dham pilgrims every year.

Char Dham Yatra tour packages to Uttarakhand begin with Yamunotri and Gangotri opening for pilgrims on May 2, Kedarnath on May 4 and Badrinath on May 5. Around 50 pilgrims from the city have already booked via Uttarakhand Toursim’s Garhwal Mandal Vikas Nigam office at Paryatak Bhavan.
