Celebs join hands to give a boost to Kerala tourism

Malayali actors are looking beyond films and taking time out to give a boost to tourism. Singer K J Yesudas, actors Mammootty and Rima Kallingal, director Aashiq Abu, music director Bijibal, scenarist John Paul, cinematographer Shyju Khalid, lyricist Santhosh Alukal and make-up artist Sameera Saneesh are part of a multimedia show which will showcase the glorious past of Kochi.

The shooting has been completed. Filmmaker Aashiq Abu has directed the entire show, which has Rima playing the role of the Queen of the Arabian Sea. The show will capture the birth of the island of Kochi along with a group of Chinese youngsters coming in search of the city’s rich culture. Scenarist John Paul, who gave the idea of the show, comments, “This will be a fairy tale focussing on the legacy of Kochi blended with the legendary queen of the Arabian Sea. Every one or two months there will be new visuals and the focus will be more on entertainment. The glorious past, present and future of Kochi will be shown guiding the viewers on a beautiful voyage.”
