Battery car to ferry visitors to Suruli Falls

More funds would be allocated for infrastructure development at prime tourist spots in the district to attract more visitors, said Tamil Nadu Tourism Minister S.P. Shanmuganathan.

After launching a battery car service at Suruli Falls area, with a view to protecting the reserve forest from air pollution, here on Saturday, he said Rs. 44 lakh had been allocated for construction of rest houses, toilets and dress changing rooms and lighting facilities at Kumbakarai Falls. It would get a total facelift.

An Eco Park was being developed near Vaigai dam at a cost of Rs.4.59 crore.
