APTDC to develop resorts on Manginapudi Beach

Excise and B.C. Welfare Minister Kollu Ravindra said that the AP State Tourism Development Corporation (APTDC) would develop resorts on the Manginapudi Beach.

“The State government will release Rs. 5 crore for development resorts on the Manginapudi Beach and Rs. 2 crore for boating facility at Gilakaladindi harbour,” said Ravindra, reports Hindu.

The Minister explained details of a road map being prepared for development of tourism circuit around Machilipatnam. He said Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu had sent a proposal to the Centre seeking permission to allow tourism development activities along the selected beaches with liberalising Coastal Regulation Zone guidelines.

On Machilipatnam port, the Minister said the process of land acquisition of nearly 3,000 acres of government land was likely to begin in a month for the proposed deep sea port. The State government was preparing to release the compensation recommended by the Krishna District Collector in early 2014.
