Andhra Tourism partners with TripAdvisor

VIJAYAWADA: In an effort to give a boost to tourism in State, Andhra Pradesh Tourism Authority (APTA) has announced a partnership with TripAdvisor.

This will help curate reviews from travellers who experience various destinations within Andhra Pradesh and can serve as ambassadors of State to all other potential tourists looking to plan their vacations in the near future, reports The Hindu.

“We look forward to travellers giving their honest and sincere experience reviews about Andhra Pradesh on TripAdvisor, a destination known for people as a consultation point before proceeding on their journey,” said Himanshu Shukla, CEO, APTA.

Mr. Shukla said the tourism wing was also training its hoteliers, restaurant owners, and experience and activity providers to understand and leverage the importance of both giving and collecting feedback, and the impact a review makes in a travellers’ journey and decisions.

“We believe TripAdvisor is the best platform for discovering such reviews when the traveller is looking for them.” This partnership is part of an overall effort to increase visibility of Andhra Pradesh amongst travellers, especially focusing on the five hubs – Vizag, Vijayawada, Anantapur, Rajamahendravaram and Tirupati — to brand their unique experiences.
