Airlines register 24% rise in passengers during November

Vistara, airline joint venture between the Tata Group and Singapore International Airlines, recorded its best-ever load factors during the month of November, when Indian carrier carried 24.65 per cent more than the same month last year.

While Vistara recorded load factors of 72.2 per cent during the month, which was highest since its inception, the highest load factors was recorded by SpiceJet that flew its planes with 90.25 per cent seats full, reports The Economic Times.

Vistara credited the highest-ever load factors to over booked economy class and business travelers preferring premium economy, said its spokesperson.

A data released by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation shows that the Indian carriers carried 7.32 million passengers during the month of November primarily of the back of increased travel during the festive month of November.
