AirAsia India to offer AirAsia X international network

DELHI

Air Asia India passengers will soon be able to book flights on the network of AirAsia X, which launched a flight between Delhi and Kuala Lumpur today. AirAsia X is the long-haul subsidiary of Malaysia-based AirAsia Berhad.

“We have an interline agreement with AirAsia India, who will be able to offer our network to their passengers in a month’s time,” Benyamin Ismail told The Economic Times.

He added that his airline would expect to bring passengers from destinations in the east and west of India, where the AirAsia group is not a formidable player.

“We have a strong presence in the southern part of India. But we could look at cities in the east and west of India, which AirAsia India connects from Delhi,” he added.
