Accor’s performance shows a positive graph

MUMBAI

Accor Hotels’ performance chart indicated a improvement despite a tough market in Europe during the first-quarter of 2014. A robust demand in every key market outside France, with pro forma revenue gaining of 2.1 per cent like-for-like and declining of 5.5 per cent has been reported. HotelInvest, Accor’s hotel owner and investor, showed revenue growth of 1.2 per cent like-for-like to Euro 992 million, of which Euro 109 million were paid to HotelServices as fees.

While, HotelServices, Accor’s hotel operator and brand franchisor, recorded revenue growth of 4.7 per cent like-for-like to Euro 262 million, with strong gains in the Mediterranean, Middle East, Africa region (MMEA, up to 7.5 per cent), the Asia Pacific region (up to 8.1 per cent) and the USA (up to 11.6 per cent), all credits go to the expansion that was 85 per cent under management and franchise contracts.
