32 tourism projects initiated in hinterland of Goa: Tourism Minister

The Goa Tourism Department has initiated 32 tourism projects in the state and most of these are in the hinterland, said Dilip Parulekar, Minister for Tourism, Woman & Child Development, Government of Goa, recently. He made the disclosure in response to media charges that the Department was neglecting its own proclaimed intention to boost tourism in the hinterland.

Some of the projects include the institute of hotel management at Farmagudi, Ponda, the beautification of the Mayem Lake in Bicholim taluka and other projects in hinterland talukas of Sanguem and Quepem, Parulekar said, as per a report by Joaquim Fernandes in The Times of India.
