V Resorts to add 20-25 hotels in 2015

After recently raising $2 mn,  V Resorts, boutique resort chain, plans to add 20-25 properties around metros like Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore to its portfolio in 2015. The brand wants to capture the market for short breaks and quick getaways around such cities said Aditi Balbir, Managing Director, V Resorts. she also mentioned that these resorts will be added on ‘managed property’ basis.

After covering the metros, the resort chain will then expand its presence to the North East region and also cover destinations such as Odisha, Puri, Lakshadweep, Andaman and the surrounding areas as per a report in TravelBizMonitor.

The group presently has six resorts and plans to add four more to take its room inventory to about 200 rooms in destinations around Delhi. This includes the launch of a resort in Chhattarpur (Delhi), Bhimtal or Corbett, Dhanaulti (Uttarakhand) and Rajasthan by March 2015.

Plans to add ten resorts around Mumbai in beach areas, wildlife destinations and hills stations between April and June 2015 too are on the anvil.
