Wayanad eyes rains for a tourism makeover


Wayanad — one of the fastest growing tourism destinations in the state — hopes to ride piggyback on monsoon to strengthen its tourism fortunes.

Tourism authorities plan to capitalize on rains and showcase the district before 400 tour operators, travel writers, tourism entrepreneurs and policymakers from across the globe at the Splash 2013 monsoon carnival, to be held in July.
