India’s newest airline Vistara will add two new routes, Goa and Hyderabad from February 20 and March 1, 2015 respectively. There will be one daily direct flight from Delhi to Goa and two daily flights from Delhi to Hyderabad. The airline is also looking to Increase frequencies from Delhi to Mumbai and Ahmedabad. Vistara started its operations with 68 weekly flights and will scale up to 164 frequencies a week by March, 2015.
The airline said that the historical city of Hyderabad is fast emerging as a corporate hub whereas Goa enjoys the reputation of being one of most coveted holiday destinations in India, making them natural additions to Vistara’s route network. It believes that these route launches will further cement its position as India’s fast growing full service carrier.
Mr Phee Teik Yeoh, CEO, Vistara said: “Both these cities offer huge potential in terms of passenger traffic. We are confident that travellers on these two routes will appreciate the unique value proposition we offer at a competitive price.”
Vistara started its operations in India on January 9 and has three aircrafts at present with Delhi as its operational hub. IT plans to increase its fleet size to five by March and will soon announce the addition of more destinations.
