The Turkish Culture and Tourism Office and Turkish Airlines has announced a pan India social media and online campaign to reach out to Indian audiences. The campaign’s focus is on introducing Indians to unique and iconic Turkish destinations.Turkey is the 6th most popular tourist destination in the world according to UNWTO World Tourism barometer.
The campaign – ‘A Million Reasons’ was opened to the public with existing Blogs, Facebook and Twitter pages. It also launched a website, turkeytourism.in, specifically designed for Indian audience. The key feature of the website is its e-visa application, evisa.gov.tr since its inception in April 2013, over 15,140 Indians and 4, 30,014 travelers around the world have used the online visa system (e-visa).
The interactive website highlights Turkey’s attractions to the Indian audience, its close proximity, appeal to families, adventure tourists, backpackers, solo travelers, luxury, MICE and business travelers.
