The Ministry of Tourism is implementing a Scheme titled ‘Earn While You Learn’ to educate and attract students towards the travel and tourism trait. The trainees will work as ‘student volunteers”. College-going students pursuing graduation courses or graduates in the age group of 18 to 25 years will be eligible for the training programme held for a 21 working days period.
Under the same Scheme, a 6 weeks duration (30 working days) programme has also been launched to train heritage volunteers. Eighteen to 28 year old graduates within the city covered will be eligible for the same. The Indian Institute of Travel & Tourism Management (IITTM), Gwalior has been authorized to conduct the training programmes to be held at the institute’s campus at Noida.
