The Nigeen Lake Conservation Organization (NLCO) has complained that the alarming number of stray dogs in the City was bringing disrepute for the tourism sector.
In a statement, the NLCO Chairman Manzoor Ahmed Wangnoo said the first impression which the tourists get is that Srinagar is full of dogs. “Whether they come by road or by air, dogs is what they see is abundance.”
“Moreover, it has been a recurring complaint from guests that they are scared of going out for morning or evening walks,” Wangnoo said. “How can any human feel secured amid alarming number dogs?” he questioned.
