Pay for food orders with Freecharge wallet at TFS food outlets at airports and railway stations
MUMBAI: Digital payments platform Freecharge has tied up with travel retail operator Travel Food Services [TFS]. Passengers will be able to now use their Freecharge wallet to pay for food orders at select food outlets across Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Mangalore and Bangalore airports. In addition, TFS operated F&B ‘Rail Dhabas’ at Pune and Vishakhapatnam railway stations will also offer the digital payment facility.
TFS operates F&B outlets at major airports including Cafeccino, Dominos, Subway, Idli.com, Curry Kitchen, Cafe Coffee Day, Dilli STREAT, Swich, Noodle Wok, Mumbai STREAT, KFC among many others. The Rail Dhabas include Andhra Kitchen, Curry Kitchen, Maroosh and Noodle Work among others outlets.
TFS expects the customer experience to become more convenient, cashless and fast with this service. Travelers will be able to pay for their order using their phone and Freecharge registered mobile numbers. The transaction, with the OnTheGo Pin, will be completed in less than 10 seconds said the firms.
Freecharge said it is also creating an end-to-end cashless digital payments experience for passengers rides to airports and railway stations. The company is in the process of onboarding taxis across India. As part of the pilot program, over 15,000 taxis across Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore already accept payments via Freecharge wallet, it said.

Customers of TFS can also avail a cash back benefit in their first transaction at TFS operated outlets at major airports, as well as at Pune and Vishakhapatnam railway stations.
