The Telangana Tourism Department organised a road-show here on Monday to promote tourist places in the new state of Telangana.
Travel agents, tour operators, travel writers and media were invited, reports The Hindu.
A statement issued by the Telangana Tourism here said that the show was aimed at demonstrating fascinating fusion of history and modernity, with enchanting eco-destinations for exhilarating weekends, marvellous heritage experience with blissful environs and architectural wonders of tourist destinations.
The State offers to an avid traveller a vast range of tourism landscapes including heritage, archaeology, religion, wildlife/ecotourism and handicrafts.
The statement said that Telangana had a wide spectrum of traditions, cuisines, cultures and religions.
The State was a gateway to South India where one could explore through the luxurious landscape. Synonymous to Spicy Kebabs, aromatic Biryanis and Pure Pearls, Telangana is the Koh-I-Noor of India radiating an aura of fascinating mystique.
The statement said the department had introduced new package tours to fit the specific needs of tourists which were designed taking into consideration the requirements of the tourists and TSTDC would help plan the entire itinerary providing a seamless tour experience.
Services offered in the package include transport, accommodation and sightseeing. “While focusing on the fore front of adventure and eco-tourism projects, TSTDC is organising adventure clubs at Bhongir Fort for rock climbing activities and trekking, and adventure jeep ride into the forest at Kawal Wildlife Sanctuary, Jannaram in Adilabad District.”
