TAAI, Vietnam sign MoU for bilateral tourism cooperation

MUMBAI
Travel Agents Association of India (TAAI) and Consulate General of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for a period of five years to promote bilateral ‘Indo-Vietnam Tourism Co-operation’.
Besides promoting tourism between India and Vietnam, the MoU aims to develop investment opportunities in tourism and hospitality in Vietnam. Both parties shall create and develop programmes for attracting tourism and related activities with the help of each other.

Thuy informed, “We have identified five advantages of Vietnam tourism industry – (a) stable political and social security environment (b) good products in a good climate (c) regional and trans-regional connectivity (d) foreign-friendly behaviour (e) competitive cost.”

Vietnam is rich in nature, sea, and culture, and offers great Cruise Tourism and MICE Tourism options. Vietnam owns two world championships in natural beauty – one is on the sea, Ha Long Bay and one is on the mountain, the Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park. We will organise a familiarisation trip for investors and tour operators next month and at the end of the year.”

Bhatia said, “We will be conducting workshops, roadshows, and seminars across all TAAI Chapters to educate our members on the tourism offerings of Vietnam.”
