TAAI demands infra dev at Srinagar airport

SRINAGAR

Travel Agents Association of India (JK-chapter) has hailed Member Parliament and PDP President, Mehbooba Mufti for seeking operation of international flights from Srinagar airport.

In a statement here on December 6 chairman TAAI JK Chapter Shamim Shah welcomed the suggestion by Mehbooba that international flights should be operated on Srinagar-Amritsar-Dubai, Srinagar-Chandigarh-Dubai and Srinagar-Delhi-Jeddah sectors, reports Greater Kashmir.

Shah said it would increase the NRI tourist flow to Kashmir besides easing the travel of the locals.

He also demanded that CAT-III(C) Instrumentation Landing System along with compatible runway and approach lights should be installed at the airport to make the take-off and landing of the flights possible even at zero percent visibility.
